ChinaSource 2024 Annual Report: Building on a Legacy of Collaboration

Small cover of 2024 annual report.

In a world that seems filled with uncertainty and hopelessness, we are thankful for the goodness of the Sovereign Lord in our lives through Jesus Christ, and for the privilege and joy of serving alongside the church in China, the diaspora, and global church this past year. The ChinaSource 2024 Annual Report is now available, and we are praising God for his favor and blessing throughout the year! The following are some exciting and encouraging excerpts from the report:

Generational Partnerships, Global Vision

“When unity in Christ and his mission transcends denominational differences, the church bears much fruit, and we are seeing the results.”

“In the 27-year history of ChinaSource we have never witnessed what we are seeing now: God’s abundant favor and the expanding nature of kingdom collaboration and partnerships, especially with Chinese-led ministries representing both the registered and the unregistered church. As you read this report, we hope you will rejoice and praise God with us for the many new ministry doors he has opened to ChinaSource in China’s ‘New Era,’ and that you will partner with us in the year ahead!”

Partnerships in Action

“Partnership remains at the core of all that ChinaSource does. Believing that our best work is done through others, we actively seek collaboration with Chinese and non-Chinese leaders and organizations who share our commitment to building up the body of Christ in a spirit of unity. We take on challenges that can only be met as multiple organizations join hands, sharing their unique gifts and resources and growing together in the process. By helping to connect these gifts and resources, ChinaSource enables others to go further and to do more.”

Amplifying Diverse Voices for Greater Impact

“This year, we welcomed 104 content contributors, 52% of whom are ethnically Chinese, reflecting our commitment to amplifying Chinese Christian voices. Notably, the rise in contributions from Chinese believers is shaping the church locally and globally with fresh perspectives and experiences.”

Connecting 115,000 Active Users: A Global Church in Conversation

“With 115,000 active users globally, ChinaSource continues to be a trusted platform for voices from the Chinese church to resonate. As Jessica Zhao, one of our readers in China, said, ‘ChinaSource not only helps Christians worldwide better understand the Chinese church and its believers, but also offers Chinese Christians fresh perspectives on their nation’s history, culture, and spiritual life. It challenges some of our long-held assumptions, encouraging us to ask: ‘How should we, as believers, biblically approach practices we have long accepted without question?'”

Empowering the Next Generation: A Joyful Commitment

“In 2024, we focused on empowering the next generation while building on the legacy of faith passed down through generations. By elevating younger voices and providing content for youth and families, we are equipping emerging leaders to navigate their faith in today’s world. This effort remains rooted in the intergenerational contributions that have always strengthened the global church.”

A Flourishing Digital Community

“ChinaSource is more than a platform—it’s a vibrant community of believers eager to grow. Our expanding user base and partnerships reflect the growing interest in the Chinese church. We are grateful for the dedicated team God has brought to ChinaSource, and for the new opportunities he continues to provide as we work to promote prayer for China and expand globally.

At the heart of all we do is a commitment to empowering the next generation and enriching the global church. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith, connection, and shared purpose.”

Ways to Pray

  • The entire ChinaSource team, both staff and board of directors, is thankful to God for every friend and partner, who has invested their prayers, time, gifting, funding, and collaborative wisdom in the kingdom purposes of God through ChinaSource in 2024. We thank God that “ChinaSource is more than a platform—it’s a vibrant community of believers eager to connect and grow.” Praise God with us for this growing network of missional Christ followers around the world.
  • Praise the Lord that for 27 years ChinaSource has connected believers worldwide with the vibrant life of the Chinese church. With God’s help, in 2024, we’ve deepened this commitment, building bridges between mainland China, the Chinese diaspora, and the global Christian community, creating a shared journey of understanding, collaboration, and faith. To God be the glory!
  • Heading into 2025, please pray with us that more substantive partnerships will be formed through timely introductions and mutual kingdom ministry with the church in China and the diaspora.
  • Pray also that as global Christ followers grow in their understanding of the complexities of the church in China, they will be fueled to pray more fervently and serve with discernment and grace.
